Çolakoğlu Metalurji Spor Kulübü has been honored in the “Projects Creating Value for Society – Sports” category at the Dünya Gazetesi Toplumsal Fayda Ödülleri. More than 200 projects across nine main categories were evaluated in an event that brought together the private sector, public institutions, universities, and local governments.
Standing out with its social initiatives that support the development of the local community in Dilovası, Çolakoğlu Metalurji continues to create social impact through its Sports Club, which encourages young people to engage in sports and supports their physical, social, and cultural development.
The award was received by Seda Demirel Yıldırım, Corporate Communications Manager of Çolakoğlu Metalurji and Board Member of Çolakoğlu Metalurji Spor Kulübü, together with Dr. İlker Dilek, Corporate Communications Consultant and General Coordinator of Çolakoğlu Metalurji Spor Kulübü.

A Success Story Growing with Young Athletes
This year, the outstanding achievements of the 200 athletes within our club include:
- Modern Pentathlon: Our girls’ team became the champions of Türkiye in the tournament held in Ankara.
- Fencing: One athlete won a bronze medal at the Türkiye Cup. Two athletes ranked in the top 20 nationwide and qualified for the National Team.
- Athletics: Our athlete Abdülkerim Kantemür claimed first place in his age category at the “Fastest of Kocaeli” competition, earning the right to represent Kocaeli in the Türkiye Championships.
- Cross-Country: Our cross-country team placed third in the Marmara Regional Races, qualifying for the Türkiye finals.
- Swimming: Our athlete Elif Bektaş won the gold medal in the 50-meter freestyle category at the Türkiye Championships held in Trabzon.
These achievements clearly reflect the club’s mission to expand access to sports, support young people, and contribute to the social development of the region.
