Uğur Dalbeler, CEO of Çolakoğlu Metalurji A.Ş., has assumed the Chairmanship of the World Steel Association (worldsteel) for the 2025–2026 term. The World Steel Association is the leading global organization representing the steel industry worldwide.
Prior to his chairmanship, Mr. Dalbeler served as Vice Chairman of worldsteel during the 2024–2025 term and has been an Executive Committee Member since 2020, representing the European steel industry. With his strategic vision, industry expertise, and long-standing contributions, Mr. Dalbeler is recognized as one of the prominent figures in the global steel sector.
With over 40 years of experience in the steel industry, Mr. Dalbeler continues to serve as CEO of Çolakoğlu Metalurji while holding several key positions in national and international organizations, including Board Member of the Turkish Steel Producers Association (TÇÜD), Vice Chairman of the Steel Exporters’ Association (ÇİB), and Board Member of IREPAS.
During his tenure as Chairman of worldsteel, Mr. Dalbeler is expected to play a leading role in advancing key priorities such as sustainability, digitalization, trade balance, climate action, and industry transformation.
This prestigious appointment not only strengthens the international presence of the Turkish steel industry but also reaffirms Çolakoğlu Metalurji’s global vision.
